French term or phrase: la gestion artisanale
This is in a presentation about software for payroll and time management. The sentence is comparing "la gestion artisanale" with the software. I presume the expression is referring to entering the details manually onto the computer, since there are points afterwards of the disadvantages of "la gestion artisanale":

3 interventions sur des contrats de travail word avec saisie totalement libre (1 rédaction par la RH, 1 vérification par la RRH, 1 approbation par le DAF) pour assurer la qualité du contenu
Risque d’erreurs
Complexité de certaines activités : temps de travail et législation du travail
Grand nombre d’erreurs sur le temps de travail
Perte de temps pour corriger les document
etc.

"So manual vs. computerized payroll system? It really bares no comparison. A manual payroll system means doing everything by hand, while a computerized one will enable its users to store unlimited data, keeping track of everything. While with a manual payroll system you'd have to keep track of all employees' time by hand, with a payroll software you can automatically transfer all punches or swipes directly into the system, which will store them instantly. It can even separate regular work hours from overtime, and calculate the different remunerations according to set parameters. And if human error sneaks in even with the most organized manual payroll system, a computerized payroll software will provide accurate calculations regardless of the amount of data stored."

-> yes, I was just trying to get away from manual/computerized, as both options appear to be computerized.

neutral  SafeTex: I doubt that everything is done by hand (manual) unless you want to count Word as 'by hand'. The idea is right but the language is ambiguious. Manual systems may still exist in large numbers but not in France (and not with computers)
