(warehouse)/sales assistant: part-time (80%) Explanation: This is what I think it means: the percentage applies to both terms and it expresses the load of a part-time position as a percentage of a full-time post. In other words, this ad is for a job as magasinier and vendeur, working 80% of a full-time load. It sounds like a job in retailing, where part-time work is very widespread. Your particular ad, now taken down, is from Switzerland, and there are similar equivalent ads in German, which are more explicit. You find, for example, "Teilzeitverkaufsmitarbeiter/in 80%", where the ad specifies that 80% is the "Pensum", the "taux" or load. See examples here, from an agency that also had your ad or one like it: http://jobs.denner.ch/fr/postes-vacants/bourse-des-emplois/ Here's the Google result: "Bourse des emplois - jobs.denner.ch jobs.denner.ch/fr/postes-vacants/bourse-des-emplois/ Vendeur - Magasinier à 80%. Ventes. Laufen. Teilzeitverkaufsmitarbeiter/in 90%. Ventes. Oftringen. Teilzeitverkaufsmitarbeiter/in 60%. Ventes. Tessin/Zürich." And here's a similar ad in French which seems to confirm that the percentage expresses the "taux" of a part-time post; this one may become 100% (full-time): "Nous recherchons pour notre magasin King Jouet de Bienne un(e) vendeur(se) magasinier(ère) à 60% (possibilité d'augmenter le taux à 100% toutefois sans garantie)." http://www.guidle.com/de/jobs/biel--bienne/kaufmaennisch/ven... I have suggested "assistant" because a part-time job of this kind is almost certainly for an assistant, but you could just put "salesperson" if you prefer. "Sales Associate Part Time 80%" http://uk.fashionjobs.com/job/Sales-associate-part-time-80-,... |
