After posting this question, I thought that 'terms / conditions' may be a good way to say 'guaranties' in English but I'm not sure if it's too far from the original meaning?

This is the first time I have posted a question Daryo, I didn't know what options to select and I don't believe that selecting 'members only' was intended to cause offence or to say that not members are not good enough... Next time, I won't select that option.

I think there is a clue here. The second sentence refers to "dispositions du règlement intérieur au sein desquelles ces garanties ont été rappelées."

It appears to me that the "règlement intérieur" sets out the "garanties" in question. Do you have acccess to that "règlement intérieur", failing which, are there other references to it in your document?

Good morning Rachael and welcome to ProZ. I did not get to see Daryo's post, but would like to point out that I have been a paying member in the past although I am now just an ordinary member and that I have been a member since 2003. If that makes a difference, then you are of course free to ignore my questions and/or suggestions. Note that I have been translating professionally since 1994, thus not far off 23 years, to which you may or may not like to take account of professional experience before and since then. In any event, here goes for my questions!

My first question is general: what type of job is concerned by this contract of employment? Moving on, it may help if you indicated in what section of the contract your extract appears. I realize that not all contracts are divided up into sections and that not all sections are clearly labelled either. However, I think this may help with clues.

Finally, it is great to have posted the complete sentences in whcih the terms appear. If the nature of the term guarantee is not clear to you, bearing in mind we have less context to hand than you, it is generally helpful to situate the extract(s) within the context of the document.

"Le salarié reconnaît avoir pris connaissance des dispositions légales et conventionnelles qui fixent l’ensemble des garanties qui entourent la présente convention"
may be an extremely roundabout way of saying "The employee has noted the legal and contractual provisions of this agreement".
