English translation: building on achievements

International Org/Dev/Coop / EC terminology
French term or phrase: la valorisation des acquis
As an exception I need to ask help for a translation into English. This is the trranslation of an EC technical assistance project in Burkina Faso and CILLS countries:

I don't really know hoe to translate "la valorisation des acquis",

any help would be appreciated!
Thank you

la valorisation des acquis (de l'expérience)
glossaries

Explanation:
The full term is in fact "valorisation des acquis de l'expérience", aka VAE. This site should point you in ther ight direction for meaning.

Then go back to the ProZ glossaries as the full term and the abbreviation have already appeared. Acutally, you may have found it with a ProZ glossary search even as is.

I was indeed a little off tarf=get with valIDtion and valORISaation. Both are used, effectively in relation to education, a sort of conversion of professional experience into a certified qualification, or "equivalence" etc. Yes, off-target.

It is indeed much more along the lines of building on achievements!
