French to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Internet, e-Commerce / RSS feeds/syndication
French term or phrase: rediffuseur
This word occurs in a series of articles I'm translating about how the use of RSS, syndication and "Web 2.0" is changing the face of the internet.

It's in a section that talks about sites which originate information, which is then picked up and repackaged by other sites like Google News and Yahoo News - these latter types of sites are referred to in this context as "rediffuseurs".

The most obvious translations to me seem to be "rebroadcaster" or "retransmitter" (especially since the article makes frequent use of terms like "émetteur"). But I don't know whether there's a specific English word that is an accepted part of the jargon in this field.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks for all three suggestions - I went with "republisher" as it seemed to fit best with the context.

If the BBC etc are the real "news sites" then these other sites are really just directories - although they probably don't want to be called that...
