SEO optimised

Explanation:
or optimized

Not very elegant (hence medium confidence level), but "SEO optimized" does get 700 000 g-hits, and "SEO optimised" another 50 000.

Nothing to do with Google Adwords (IMO), but everything to do with using keywords and other techniques so that the website in question comes up (near the) top of the list when you do an internet search.

PS Referencier is a typo, isn't it ?

disagree  Neil Coffey: I think they just mean they bought some keywords. Nothing to do with SEO as far as I can see.

used piggyback SEO techniques

Explanation:
using the plaintiff's keywords

Context is missing, but my guess is that the defendants used SEO techniques to piggyback on the plaintiff's site and advertise their own site.

agree  Simon Oliver: or even 'black hat SEO techniques' for that is what this case is surely about

disagree  Neil Coffey: This is way too specific I think for what's actually said in the French. As far as I can see, they may simply mean that they bidded for some keywords on Google Adwords.
