English translation:secure entry of payments
Explanation:
In a way, they were right to disagree. Saisie is the act of entering or inputting. I think payment needs a plural in English, it just sounds better, if it's talking about the general act of entering payments in general. If the phrase is on a screen for the entry of a specific given payment, then I'd be tempted to personalise it and make it "secure entry of your payment" or similar.

Explanation:
I've found quite a few banking sites that talk about "secure capture", which may be more what your client is looking for.

neutral  Charlie Bavington: I know my answer is v similar; however I would seek to make it clear which noun is being qualified by "secure", and yours is ambiguous.
