This is from a description of a company that sells vehicle registration software:

ADMINISTRATION DES VENTES & SUPPORT
Composé de 4 personnes, ce pôle est en charge de la gestion commerciale et administrative, du traitement des projets avant-vente et de la maintenance de premier niveau (assistance fonctionnelle et métier).

I'm assuming this means user assistance. I'm mostly having trouble figuring out what the "fonctionnelle" entails. I often see "assistance technique et fonctionnelle" in French but can't really see the distinction.

The description of Level 2 support mentions that "the technicians are more experienced and knowledgeable on a particular product or service." which I reckon could well correspond to "métier", which often means business-specific, specialist, etc.
