French term or phrase: titre du brevet
Hi All -

I am translating a document which is in effect a listing of fees for the the various stages of patent applications by country. The patents are all about the extraction from nature of various compounds that have healing properties.

There is a series of column headings:
Titre du Brevet
Date du dépot de la demande
No. du Brevet
Frais de Dépot
Frais de la Recherche
Frais de Requête, etc

Under Titre du Brevet rather than the names, there is a listing of descriptions of what the patent is for. Hence I am stuck as to how to properly translate "Titre du Brevet."

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

patent title
Explanation:
Patent titles are commonly brief descriptions of the inventions object of the patents.
For example: "Method for bleaching cellulosic pulp using ozone in the presence of an aqueous solution of alcohols"

Is this the kind of titles listed in your document?

Notes to answerer
Asker: Yes - that is exactly the kind of thing I have: descriptions, not actual titles!
