I ended up using "destruction" - as in cutting up the products involved in the seizure.

"Editing" has nothing to do with a search and seizure procedure: the primarl context, as mentioned, in the legal area, was "saisie-descriptive et découpage"; the secondary context was "procéder à la découpe de ces produits suivant procès-verbal".

It is vital here to know what the wider context is! What is your document about? What type of things are being 'découpé' here? I have an idea, but will not make a suggestion without knowing the proper context...
