French term or phrase: TVA à charge
These are invoices for a company in Algeria.

Invoices for Gas Oil, with various taxes and VAT applied

There is a stamp with a tick box and the choices are TVA à charge and TVA à credit.

I was thinking that VAT is payable by the seller in one case, and then the end client/purchaser. Thanks

VAT payable
Explanation:
Literally, "VAT to be borne", but that's a bit legal for the context.

It's a strange one, and could be "hiding" something -- low confidence. VAT on credit is even stranger!

Assuming that "à charge" and "à crédit" are kind of opposites.

See the "EN SYNTHESE" section.

"...au moment de la notation de la facture d'importation dans le registre TVA des achats (TVA à crédit, sauf que pour la TVA non déductible) ;"

neutral  Daryo: maybe, or maybe not // why would Algeria copy the VAT procedures specific to a EU member state? Not to forget that Algerian French can be at times as peculiar as Swiss French.
