French term or phrase: griffe à fleur
From a work instruction document entitled "Montage des flexibles Nitinol avec Griffe":

"INSTRUCTIONS :

- Monter et ajuster la griffe à l'accouplement.
- Placer la griffe à fleur du tube nitinol".

The problem I have here is with the expression "à fleur"; despite extensive searches I can't find a translation of this term. Thank you

Explanation:
as in 'almost level but slightly above the top of the tube'

it's not "griffe à fleur" but "griffe" "à fleur"
