indepth in millimeters

Explanation:
The indepth of the tap should correspond to the
angulation confirmed during the previous step.

Example sentence(s):
  • The indepth of the tap should correspond to the angulation confirmed during the previous step.
  • See page 10 of 18 of link provided. In French, this would be a 'taraud' used to measure the indepth of the future screw in place.

disagree  B D Finch: "Indepth" isn't English. Your source is a bad translation and this is how bad translation gets perpetuated.//Even well-known companies get bad translations, as can be seen from some of the awful TMs I've been sent by agencies.

  -> I found it funny too but since it is a reknown medical company, I thought I was wrong to think that depth in millimeters was ok.

penetration in millimetres

Explanation:
Hello

I think there are two good reasons for using "penetration".

It is used for x-rays (calculating power of x-ray to give desired results) and it is also used for orthopedic conditions (penetration of a disease in muscle for instance)

So I just don't see why "enfoncement" should be "depth" when we have an equivalent in English (penetration).
