I agree totally with Helen. The only exception to this rule would be if a full other-language version exists and that that edition has a different name, in which case, you, as the translator would not be translating the title in that case anyway.
On the specific context here, here's one further justification for not translating titles of publications unless translated versions have already been published: what better way to make the point that the subject area has been dealt with in many countries than by leaving the titles in the original tongue?
Another lead might be taken from the source text: does it provide translated versions of other-language publications? If not, then you probably have no reason to do so either. |
