French term or phrase: maker
This word appears several times in a paper manufacturing company's newsletter discussing the company's performance throughout the year and the factors that have affected it:

" * Résolution de problèmes de compatibilité **maker** - montée des grains dans le champ."

" * Support technique lors du démarrage de **maker** de notre nouveau client XXX."

"Client majeur de notre machine XXX, ce dernier s'est bien entendu manifesté face aux nombreuses difficultés qu'il a rencontré lors de la mise en œuvre sur son **maker** des papiers fabriqués pendant la difficile période que nous avons vécue."


It seems to me that this is some sort of paper printing machine, but can anyone suggest the correct English translation of it? I'm hesitant to use 'maker' as it sounds like a mistranslation.

Asker: Hi Sébastien. Thanks for your help. As a native English speaker, though, 'maker' means nothing to me in this context and, as I said in my notes, it sounds like a mistranslation (although I may be wrong).

Not sure if this helps much. Just a long shot that they might have contracted 'sample maker' to 'maker' - a bit like the French people who wish a 'bon week' when they mean 'bon weekend'. That one makes me chuckle every time!
