I'm translating an article about the professional futures of French students. I have a table showing students who graduated between 1981 and 1987 and their occupations in 2007-08. Below the table of results is the following:

Lecture : en 2007-2008, 14 % des anciens élèves interrogés étaient enseignants en lycée.

I'm interested in "Lecture :". Does it denote an interpretation of the results in the table (this would fit in the context). And if so, would we use a similar term in English? (Interpretation:)?
