déport d'antenne radio for remoting the (radio) aerial / antenna Explanation: 'déport', as we have had several times before in KudoZ, simply means 'posiitoning it to a remote location' — though this may be far or nearby! We do use the verb 'to remote' in technical EN, and an expression using a verb would probably be more natural here in EN. To be honest, we'd probably normally express it rather differently in EN, so it's up to you how far away from the FR text you feel you want to go; I think a more natural wording in EN would be 'aerial output cable' — or even just 'aerial cable', since from the context, we know it is almost certainly only a transmitting device (could check this from wider context, whether communication is 2-way or one-way?) Note that it is not strictly necessary to add the 'radio' in EN, since from the context it couldn't be anything else, hence my suggestion in ( ) — you might equally replace 'radio' with 'RF'. Note that 'aerial' is traditionally used in EN-GB, and is still commonly found; 'antenna' is the word you need for EN-US, though is now becoming much more widely accepted even in EN-GB. |
