full-bodied champagnes Explanation: While I think that Charles' and Carol's discussion comments are on the right track and the combination of battle and champagne evokes sabrage too (http://www.goldensabre.co.uk/?page_id=111), I don't really see how this can be expressed in English. house Explanation: I think Charles' comment in the discussion is on the right track. I think they are basically saying that pouring house wine and champagne from magnum would be a good idea. There is currently a mini trend towards pouring by the glass from magnum amongst some sommelier-led establishments - see Bar Boulud or 28-50. However, for the target, I don't think you can keep the military metaphor and stay in appropriate language for catering. Example sentence(s):
