Un joueur (et son partenaire) est en contrôle de la table à partir du moment où les billes ne sont plus en rotation depuis le dernier tir de son adversaire, jusqu’au moment où les billes stoppent leur rotation lors du dernier tir de ce joueur. Es bedeutet also, dass eine Aufnahme immer dann startet, wenn ein Spieler wieder am Zug ist. Dies kann zu Beginn des Spieles sein, aber auch nachdem ein Spieler keine Kugel gelocht hat, also ein Spielerwechsel ansteht, oder auch nach einem Foul, dass ja in der Regel "Ball in Hand" zur Folge hat, und somit auch eine Aufnahme ist.
