Si parla di "entremets". So che "confiseur" può essere "confettiere", ma non credo sia adatto in questo contesto. Forse si intende di più "fabbricante di dolciumi", "pasticcere", qualcosa del genere... Perciò chiedo aiuto a voi. In realtà, questa frase ha qualcosa che mi disturba a livello sintattico ("confiseurs italiens qui [...] nous apprîmes à apprécier les délices sucrés"; chi insegna cosa a chi?), però, ecco, vorrei capire se "confiseurs" in questo caso è più sinonimo di "pasticceri" che di "confettieri":
