L'impressione che ho dalle frasi precedenti é che si tratti di un negozio/punto vendita di lusso. Secondo me, si intende proprio delle consumazioni offerte ai clienti (come caramelle, cioccolatini, bevande o altro..).

agree  dandamesh: io sui piatti ci mettevo i bicchieri... comunque nella nota c'e qualche speranza di mangiare /non volevo passare avanti, concordiamo sul senso

  -> in francese la 'vaisselle' comprende anche le posate (mangiare) in italiano 'consumazioni comprende bevande e cibo. Ho riletto e , sportivamente...concordo con la Sua proposta
