Se cierra/se logra el candado apretando lo más posible, vea el peralte (el surco/la ranura de la cuerda). Para hacer un cierre de candado/de seguridad se aprieta la parte hasta que se atora con el surco del ranurado/la cuerda(al peralte/tope de la cuerda).
