Un jour, au XIXe siècle, un emprunteur gagea son parapluie. Il ne dut pas en obtenir une fortune. Mais, s'abriter ou manger, il lui fallait choisir. Fut-ce par jeu, par impecuniosité chronique ? Toujours est-il que le gage fit l'objet d'un prêt renouvelé pendant quarante-sept ans. C'était assez pour que ce parapluie devienne dans la maison, outre un perchoir à bulletins, un symbole, un monument et comme la grande horloge du temps interne.

Para un Francés, lo de "bulletin" aquí no resulta más claro que para un hispano-hablante. Preguntaría al cliente y, si no me puede dar más explicaciones, lo traduciría literal.
