Schwung ist der vierte Lernschritt der Ausbildungsskala. Dabei geht es darum, dass das Pferd durch gezielte Hilfen mit der Hinterhand unter den Schwerpunkt tritt, wobei die Energie von hinten nach vorn durch den gesamten Pferdekörper fließt. Die Hinterhand des Pferdes fußt kraftvoll auf und ab. Die Vorderhand greift weit aus der Schulter heraus nach vorne. Der Rücken schwingt und die Gelenke des Pferdes federn.
