i povezuje s pomoćnom armaturom u čvrstu cjelinu. Povezane šipke montira i ugrađuje
u betonske konstrukcije građevinskih objekata prema projektnoj dokumentaciji. Armirač
treba savladati ručno i strojno savijanje armature. Armaturu mora znati zavezati žicom ili
spojiti zavarivanjem te je prije betoniranja detaljno pregledati i očistiti od hrđe.

Damit Beton gegen Zugkräfte stabil ist, werden in die Betonform Stahleinlagen eingearbeitet. EisenbiegerInnen stellen diese Einlagen nach einer Konstruktionszeichnung her. Dafür wählen sie das entsprechende Material aus, bereiten die Stäbe vor und biegen sie entweder am Biegetisch oder mit einer Biegemaschine in Form. Schließlich verbinden sie die Einzelteile zu einer Tragekonstruktion. EisenbiegerInnen arbeiten immer in Gruppen, oft auch im Akkord. Erschwerend kommt hinzu, dass am Einsatzort nicht immer ein überdachter Biegeplatz zur Verfügung steht, sondern die Konstruktionen oftmals im Freien angefertigt werden müssen. In kleineren Betrieben führen sie zusätzlich Maurer- und Betonierarbeiten durch.
