Ik kan in het NL geen goede vertaling voor dit soort textiel/stof vinden.

Ik zou het woord 'Stoff' gewoon weglaten. Ik denk niet dat een lezer zich zou afvragen of zo'n riem nu van ijzer of textiel gemaakt is.
