This appears in a description about the work of Isabel Champion Metadier, and I am not sure how to go about translating the term "Momente", referring to one of her paintings.

Example in context:

'local colour' used both literally (if fits artist's wk, sorry to've been 2 lazy to see, so far) and metaphorically. - 'no local colour of anecdote... nor recourse to ... '
For the 2nd use, need more context around that phrase '...vitale und asthetisch determinierende Momente' to tell whether the 'factor' sense might be intended rather than the temporal one (or whether the distinction is critical here or not). If 'time', with Kate's 'episodes', or 'instances' (latter might bridge both senses synaesthetically - instance, instant)
