discussed (interactively) Explanation: I'd rather use "to discuss" here (stored/archived, mediated and discussed) but am unsure as to how to render the "gesellschaftliche Impulse" (societal ?). |

visitors can engage with Explanation: Just a suggestion to turn it around - the museum houses and presents these works, the public engages with them... |

discussed/presented interactively Explanation: "Verhandeln" im Sinne von "diskutieren, behandeln, darstellen, präsentieren". -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 Stunde (2012-06-22 10:54:39 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- "Past und current creative and social trends" as a possible way ro render "kreative und gesellschaftliche Impulse". |

presented in an interactive display Explanation: I think the point is that the display/exhibition is interactive not the presentation/discussion of it - they are not inviting visitors to engage interactively with the design of the show, just the show itself, if you like. The gesellschaftliche Impulse will depend on context that you don't give. Social trends might be right as another asker has suggested. Or societal influences (on the arts, painting involved?). And I wouldn't use 'creative' - I think it must mean influences coming from the art world rather than the wider world. |

... and offered for active, and interactive, debate Explanation: ... are archived ((or: stored, recorded...)), presented ((or 'conveyed' etc.)) and put ((or 'opened', etc.)) to active, and interactive, debate. Eng-lang. museums/their edu. depts. like 'hands-on' for 'active' (& potentially, interactive). |
