All I have is a job description as a 'Leiter Buntbetrieb' within a porcelain factory.

I have the consul general and his wife going round the factory, and being shown how it all works by this 'Leiter Buntbetrieb' chap.

Thanks in advance for any help

Hand painting and gilding department
Explanation:
Bunt-, prefix meaning stained, colored.

This is probably the head of the factory section where the porcelain is hand painted/colored/glazed/decorated.

The link is to the same dept. of the Royal Worcester P. Factory.
