Selbst Überkopf-Montagen des Roboters sind möglich. Zur Flexibilität bei der Prozessanordnung tragen die großflächig angelegten Glastüren bei. Fest verschraubt oder ausgestattet mit Scharnieren, machen sie die Zelle allseitig zugänglich. Maschinen wie die bereits erwähnten Dreh- und Schleifmaschinen können rundum von allen Seiten angebunden werden. Je nach Anordnung empfiehlt sich die Befestigung der Zelle auf einer Verschiebeeinheit. So kann sie zu Montage- oder Servicezwecken leicht verschoben werden.

Ebenfalls standardisierte Module sind die bei der Automatisierung von Bearbeitungsmaschinen in der Regel notwendigen, sogenannten SPC (Statistic process control)-***Schubladenspeicher***. Sie dienen zum Ausschleusen der für die Qualitätssicherung zu vermessenden Teile.
