Tech/Engineering - Automotive / Cars & Trucks / hydraulic cylinder
German term or phrase: ringraumseitig
A patent related doc about a suspension system refers to "ringraumseitig" and "zylinderraumseitig" chambers of a hydraulic cylinder (basically, a shock absorber) and the pressure therein: "Jeder der Hydraulikzylinder weist eine ringraumseitig sowie eine zylinderraumseitig Arbeitskammer, wobei die beide Arbeitskammern mit jeweils zuhoerigen Membranspeicher zusammenwirken." And: "Der ...ermittelte Wert gibt eine...Differenz der zwischen den ringraumseitigen Arbeitskammern and den zylinderraumseitigen Arbeitskammer herrschenden Arbeitsdruecke weider."
I'm having trouble with both "ringraumseitig" and "zylinderraumseitig." I've considered "annulus-side" for "ringraumseitig," but I can't confirm that (and it doesn't feel right, anyway) and can't come up with anything for "zylinderraumseitig" except a completely literal translation: "zylinder space side" or some such.
Any ideas?
