her interpretation is right, but she goes on to say she must be as close as possible to the original. I also have a client who prefers the wording to be as one to one as possible. Hence, my suggestion.

I don't think that means the same thing. The original has the results as the direct object, and "um Faktoren" modifies the verb. In your version the factors would be the direct object.
I believe that Ilka's interpretation is correct, that the temperature does not have much effect on the results.

Factor in mathematical terms being a multiple, the author is saying that a change in temperature will influence the result by less than the value of the potential results at different temperatures (i.e., the results won't double or halve due to a change in temperature). That's how I understand it at least. I can't think of a concise preexisting phrase for this in English at the moment.

I like "orders of magnitude" or "exponentially" if you're sure the author is speaking figuratively. These are of course on a different scale than factors in literal mathematical terms.
