transmission shift (back) into gear Explanation: This is a typical German automotive engineer trying to sound educated. (We know engineers are educated - no need to prove anything) A mechanic would say that "the transmission was shifted back into gear" (which of course establishes the power flow or transmits the torque or what ever, but who talks like that?) -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2017-03-02 15:35:44 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- late thought: "... and the power flow reinstated" |
