Oft steht bei Überlegungen zur Leistungssteigerung die erhöhte machanische Belastung des Antriebsstrangs im Vordergrund. Die wird der OM 642, sicher auch Deine Schaltung, problemlos bewältigen. Viel wichtiger wäre eine Antwort auf die Frage, wie bzw. ob der Motor mit der erhöhten thermischen Belastung fertig wird.

Denn unabhängig von der gewählten Methode des Softwaretunings, kann man nur die Anzahl (evtl. auch die Zeitpunkte) der Einspritzvorgänge und die einzuspritzende Kraftstoffmenge variieren. Beim OM 642 sind ***lastfallgeregelt*** bis zu fünf Einspritzungen darstellbar, aufgeteilt in zwei Pilot-, eine Haupt- und zwei Nacheinspritzungen.
