German term or phrase: Loth h.
I am working on a cake recipe that includes 12 Pfund Mehl, 12 Loth (4 Loth h.) Butter, and 4 Loth (1 1/3 L.h. Zucker.) What exactly does the "h." mean in this context? Is it "heiss" like I assume or is it something else?

please advise,

Explanation:
"Loth hanseatisch" is only a guess, but plausibel, as the new Lübeck "Lot" (my guess. "Lot h.") was 3 times the weight of the old:
Das Lot hatte in den verschiedenen deutschen Ländern unterschiedliche Massen, die zusätzlich auch noch zeitlich verschieden waren. Es lag meist zwischen 14 g und 18 g. Einige Beispiele:
15,2 g in Lübeck" (wiki, see link below).

Here is the exact measurement of a Lot

1 Lot = 16 2/3 g

Doesn't really help with your question to "h" but may be useful to somebody.
