English translation: support/development phase

German term or phrase: Förderungsphase
Still about TA project - tender documentation. We have "Projektlaufzeit" - translated as "project term". And then there are several "Förderungsphasen" within the project term.

I can't think of something decent right now.

agree  gangels (X): I would call it "project's duration" since it may be flexible. Term is usually a fixed 'Dienstzeit', e.g., "school term" or the term (length) for which a politician is elected.

I found lots of good hits on google, but they're all in pdfs and I don't have time to copy and paste them in here just now.

development phase

Explanation:
Förderung is a very tough term to translate. I just translated Förderungsinstrument as funding instrument in a different context, i.e. research grants. My Projects Abroad dictionary translates Förderungsprogramm as development programme.

Funding phase / period

Explanation:
Ok, from my days of writing business plans, what I understand here is the period when funding is acquired in some form or other.

I do have a problem with your translation to "project term", for me that would be the time when a project is developed, before funding can be requested. As such I would translate that with "project development phase / period"
