Hi ProZers!
I am translating a document about the effect of the application of market principals on the social welfare state. This term keeps coming up and while I know what it means, I am wondering if there is already a standard translation out there in the parlance.

Context:
Räumliche Grenzen werden, besonders für wirtschaftliche und finanzielle Transaktionen, immer unbedeutender. Der Wirtschaft eröffnen sich damit Optionen, über die sie sich weitgehend aus den politisch-ökonomischen Begrenzungen hinwegsetzen kann. In politischen Systemen läuft die Entwicklung genau umgekehrt: nicht nur die national-staatliche Politik, sondern auch transnationale Politikformen stossen an Options- und Steuerungsgrenzen. Die Politik kann sich dieser Dynamik nicht entziehen. Um sich in Zukunft noch Optionen sichern zu können, muss sie sich auf die fortschreitende Ökonomisierung einstellen.
