streamlining processes Explanation: Just a hunch. One of the ideas behind "ökonomisieren" is to avoid waste and operate more efficiently - at least that's my understanding of the word. Anyway, enhancing efficiently, "lean management" and so on is what "streamlining" is all about. Perhaps something along these lines: "In sociological research, over the past few decades we have witnessed streamlining processes that have led to the widespread introduction of market structures..." -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 24 mins (2007-11-06 14:07:11 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- an "expansion" of market structures (as Barbara suggested) is better - (widespread introduction goes too far) |
