expert opinion on the (existing) competitive situation/environment Explanation: I'd simply drop the "theoretisch" as it does not seem to add any substantial piece of information (so this simply is a "Wettbewerbsgutachten" or "Gutachten zur Wettbewerbssituation"). I consider this expression to be similar to the (in)famous "-technisch" filler so common in German. See example at http://openpr.de/news/136228/HWWI-Gutachten-Novelle-der-Verp... "Die bestehende ***Wettbewerbssituation*** im Entsorgungsmarkt wird in dem HWWI-***Gutachten*** als „quasi-monopolistische Marktstruktur“ beschrieben. Die DSD GmbH nehme nach wie vor eine marktbeherrschende Stellung ein. Der Marktanteil weiterer dualer Systeme (über 10 Prozent) und Selbstentsorger (5-6 Prozent) hingegen sei vergleichsmäßig gering.
