In the following text:

"Mit der offenen Ausschreibung halten wir den Kreis der potenziellen Anbieter relativ groß", ergänzt Herr X, der vom Vertriebsteam für die Ausschreibung verantwortlich war. Ein weiterer Vorzug des Verfahrens: Das ausschreibende Unternehmen kann sich einen guten Überblick über die derzeitige Marktsituation verschaffen. Dabei konnte ABC bereits auf die guten Erfahrungen mit derartigen Ausschreibungen vom letzten Jahr zurückgreifen. Von der ordnungsgemäßen Durchführung der Ausschreibung hat sich auch der ABC-Gleichbehandlungsbeauftragte, Herr Y, überzeugt.

I imagine "equal treatment" is OK for Gleichbehandlung, but what about the "beauftragte"? Would "representative" be a suitable translation?
