German term or phrase: Vorschuss
Hi,

This is from the Mission Statement of that training web platform operator, or rather, the part where they explain the values guiding them in their day-to-day work.

So the customer, i.e. the trainer, needs to place trust in them in order to enable them to be confident about fulfilling their customers' quality expectations? Is that the gist? Also, what set phrases can we put to good use here?

DE:
Vertrauen

We have a bit but it does not seem all that valid. Or does it?
EN:
It is the trust placed in us that makes/lets us proceed with confidence in regard to the above expectations, the extent of which is usually influenced by previous experience.

Explanation:
Faith means giving credit to the expectations above. The extent of faith is usually influenced by prior experience.

Compare with this. Totally different topic, but same structure of expression:
"Interestingly, 5 of the 10 listed footballers are from England, a fact giving credit to expectations that these young talents may bring an even brighter future to English football.” http://www.insideworldfootball.com/2018/12/21/5-english-top-...

the degree of confidence shaping these expectations / in these expectations

Explanation:
My suggestion is to get away from the German and translate more freely

The degree of confidence shaping the above-mentioned expectations / with regard to / in the above-mentioned expectations etc.
is based on experience (gained in the past)
or
is based on past experience

Der Begriff "confidence" enthält m.E. den Vertrauensvorschuss bereits

Faith, derived from Latin fides and Old French feid,[1] is confidence or trust in a person, thing, or concept.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faith

In a social context, trust has several connotations.[1] Definitions of trust[2][3] typically refer to a situation characterized by the following aspects: one party (trustor) is willing to rely on the actions of another party (trustee); the situation is directed to the future. In addition, the trustor (voluntarily or forcedly) abandons control over the actions performed by the trustee. As a consequence, the trustor is uncertain about the outcome of the other's actions; they can only develop and evaluate expectations. The uncertainty involves the risk of failure or harm to the trustor if the trustee will not behave as desired.

Credit (from Latin credit, "(he/she/it)believes") is the trust which allows one party to provide money or resources to another party wherein the second party does not reimburse the first party immediately (thereby generating a debt), but promises either to repay or return those resources (or other materials of equal value) at a later date.[1] In other words, credit is a method of making reciprocity formal, legally enforceable, and extensible to a large group of unrelated people.

The resources provided may be financial (e.g. granting a loan), or they may consist of goods or services (e.g. consumer credit). Credit encompasses any form of deferred payment.[2] Credit is extended by a creditor, also known as a lender, to a debtor, also known as a borrower.

Cf.:

"In God We Trust", also written as "In God we trust", is the official motto of the United States of America[1][2][3] and of the U.S. state of Florida. It was adopted by the U.S. Congress in 1956, supplanting E pluribus unum, in use since the initial 1776 design of the Great Seal of the United States.[4]
:
In Judaism and Christianity, the official motto "In God We Trust" is not found verbatim in any verses from the Bible, but very closely in the Old Testament in Psalm 91:2, "I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust" and in the New Testament in 2 Corinthians 1:10, "Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us." The concept is paraphrased in Psalm 118:8, Psalm 40:3, Psalm 73:28, and Proverbs 29:25.[60]
