In dem Zusammenhang eines Websites aus der Esoterik-Branche, einen Bezug hier zum indianischen 'Schamanismus'.

Wie übersetzt man am besten "Kraftgegenstand"?

Ich weiss, dass oft von "totem animal" der Rede ist, wenn man auf Deutsch "Krafttier" sagen würde, allerdings ist dieser Gebrauch umstritten, da "totem" ursprunglich doch nicht auf dieser Art benutzt würde.

Da es hier eher um die neue, moderne Variant dieser alten Tradition handelt, bin ich trotzdem geneigt, "totem" als Übersetzung für "Kraftgegenstand" zu verwenden.

Oder sollte ich lieber "fetish" schreiben?
