I know what they are, they are whitish-blue but no idea what they are called in English.

Perhaps deviate v slightly from the German 'bzw.' to mitigate the repetition of 'mint', e.g.: ... mint, or more especially Glacier Mint, ...

I think a British-English reader would understand glacier mint as being the Fox's brand, so I'd advise initial capitals. Can't speak for our cousins across the pond.

Phil had a good idea; should've done that before. Here's Polaris on UK websites:

Judging from the ingredients in the Ricola product, I'd just use 'menthol' in this context.

...but I just bought some Ricola ones. Second item on the list: "Kräuterauszüge aus Minzen," then the other herbs and later on "Menthol."

But really, I'm on my third one or so. This is not "fruchtig." I haven't the faintest what they're talking about.

I was confused, because I love mint(s) and really don't like menthol unless I'm ill and then I'll tolerate it! ;) I always thought that menthol was mint + eucalyptus... I'll research it later! 50 million other things to do right now ;)

Glacier mints are made with mint oil, Gletscherbonbons with Menthol so I don't think they're the same thing at all.

I think I'll get some now :)

Though, if menthol is defined as "smells and tastes of mint" (https://www.ldoceonline.com/dictionary/menthol ), why would you need "minty"?

Also, Edith, the German is odd, IMO. If it's Gletscherminze, it is not frisch-"fruchtig." That's the last thing on my mind when I buy some Gletscherbonbons.

It def would be odd to say "mint and/or glacier mint"... I think the "problem" is that the German ones (Gletscherbonbons) include menthol, which is what the description is trying to get at... Would "minty-menthol" work? =/

In the UK at least they're known as Glacier Mints, but I can't work out if that's trademarked by Fox's... I really want some now though! =D ;)
