Karten der Höhengliederung, Expositionsverhältnisse und Inklinationsverhältnisse: Diese drei Karten sind aus einem Höhenmodell abgeleitet, welches einen Punkteraster mit einer Rasterweite von 250x250 Meter darstellt. Die Abfolge der verwendeten Höhenstufen von der tiefsten bis zur höchsten Stufe sind: planar, kollin, submontan, tiefmontan, montan, tiefsubalpin, hochsubalpin, alpin, nival. Da die absoluten Höhengrenzen der verschiedenen Höhenstufen innerhalb Österreichs variieren, wurde keine einheitlichen Höhenzonierung für die gesamte Landesfläche Österreichs vorgenommen, sondern für die forstlichen Wuchsbezirk wurde eine eigene Höhenstufengliederung nach Literaturangaben ausgearbeitet (GRABHERR et al. 1998). Wuchsbezirke sind Regionen mit weitgehend einheitlicher vegetationskundlicher Waldgesellschaft, welche sich durch Unterschiede hinsichtlich Geomorphologie, Geologie, Klima und Ausbildung der Schlusswaldgesellschaft deutlich regional abgrenzen (MAYER 1974).
