This is one of about 500 "Bildunterschriften" I have to translate, and this is all the context I have. The photo that goes with it doesn't help at all. Forestry equipment is not my line of business, so I'm really grateful for any help.

It seems that Forstfräsen and Forstmulcher (or Mulchfräsen) are similar types of equipment (mostly tractor-towed) and sometimes even combined into one unit. You put me on the right track, Andrew. Thanks a lot. Thanks to all for your help.

Rodungsfräse is another term for Forstfräse. The whole idea is removing stumps of trees, including their roots.

neutral  BrigitteHilgner: I have my doubts about this: There are "Forst Mulcher" and they are frequently combined with a "Forstfräse", but they are not the same as a Forstfräse. // To be honest, I don't know. I am interested, so I am still trying to find out. I have my doubts.
