Refers to a banquet. So are there 30 people at the table, or maybe 30 dishes?

Never mind about Marschalls-Tafel. I think it means the table for those of comparatively low rank (i. e. not the royal table.)

In my opinion, in latin languages it refers to the quantity of people, not the dishes or pieces of cuttlery.
