Der mit Bildern illustrierte Vortrag reicht bis ins 18. Jahrhundert zurück und behandelt die spannende Entwicklungsgeschichte der Künzelsauer Wirtschaft. Dabei spielt die ***Schlossmühle*** eine besondere Rolle. Hier haben die Buchbinderei Sigloch, der Ventilatorenhersteller Ziehl-Abegg und die Maschinenfabrik Stahl kriegsbedingt während des Zweiten Weltkrieges ein neues Zuhause gefunden. Auch Adolf Würth betrieb dort in einem Nebengebäude seine Schraubengroßhandlung. Unter den durch Mangel und Improvisation gekennzeichneten Bedingungen der Nachkriegszeit rechnete wohl niemand damit, dass aus dieser Standortgemeinschaft drei Weltmarktführer und Europas größter Buchbindereibetrieb hervorgehen sollten.

Die Schlossmühle ist eine Getreidemühle an der Glems in Ditzingen.


Die Schlossmühle
Die Mühle wurde um 1350 als "Schnurrenmüllers Mülln" erstmals genannt. Um 1500 besaß der berühmte Humanist Johannes Reuchlin einen Teil der Mühle, die ab 1524 auch "Schlossmühle" genannt wurde. Die Mühle war von 1689 bis 1851 im Besitz der Familie Siegle. Sie wurde 1851 an Andreas Burger aus Iptingen verkauft. Seit 1928 ist sie im Besitz der Familie Müller.
