German term or phrase: Einstellung
Hello every ProZ.com buddy,

DE
Wann liegt eine Versetzung vor?
(3)
(+) MBR = ja / (-) MBR = nein [MBR = Mitglied des Betriebsrates]
Erhebliche Änderung der Umstände (Forts.)
Arbeitszeit

EN:
In the case of an extension of both the duration and extent, amounting to a not inconsiderable extension of the volume, it may be ***necessary for the Works Council to have a say in taking hiring decisions***.

So does "Mitbestimmung bei der Einstellung" mean "to have a say in taking hiring decisions", as I am assuming, and if so, how would this be phrased more nicely in American English?

Anyway, I am looking for a translation of the expression found in the source, not for my explanatory note "Mitbestimmung bei der Einstellung", which is only meant to make the material more readily accessible to y'all busy translators.

Thanks,

Sebastian Witte
