a couple of options Explanation: Yes, this expression is used when something is taking off rather fast or is "generating" a lot of fun. If the context allows for a colloquial tone, one of these may work: speed take off like a missile take off like rocket flat out like a lizzard drinking (AUS) take off like a scoulded cat feel the Gs on that place/party... is pumping/raging/cranking But, I agree, context is everything - hopefully we'll get some. |

A few suggestions Explanation: If the context of your text refers to something speedy (e.g. acceleration of a vehicle, computer processing data), you may want to try: (This thing works/takes off) in the blink of an eye! It's faster than you can say "Wow!" It's always good to add context when posting, since that's what will guarantee better help. |
