Given the definition in the question, a leading question, of course, IS a type/instance of kriminalistische List. It may work for you.

But, presumably, the off kilter investigative imagination could come up with others - such as telling lies, suppressing or falsifying evidence, etc.

If you need something a little broader, maybe the ruse or entrapment approach could work.
